Forum Post: RE: CivilStorm and Geopak/Inroads compatibility

Hello, We are continually working on the integration between CivilStorm/StormCAD and the Bentley civil products (including GEOPAK). However, for now, I expect that CivilStorm or StormCAD by themselves (even running on top of MicroStation) won't fit well into your existing drawing production workflows. Currently I recommend that you lay your drainage elements out in plan view using GEOPAK drainage, then import the GEOPAK drainage network into CivilStorm or StormCAD for further analysis. Then, once you are done with the analysis, you can export the network back to GEOPAK drainage for drawing production. The above workflow will change with an upcoming release which properly merges the Bentley Civil and CivilStorm/StormCAD functionality. We have referred to this release as 'Subsurface Utilities Design and Analysis' in some recent conference presentations. Please let us know if you'd like more info about this. Regards, Mal
