All, I have a couple questions related to independent challenges with my WaterGEMS model. 1. I have a number of controls set up to allow the tanks in my system to fill. These controls are set up with space between them; for example, IF tank level = 22 ft pump OFF, IF tank level = 18 feet pump ON. The reality is that if the tank level reaches 18 ft, the pump turns on and remains on till 22 ft. In a steady state model, the gap between is interpreted as in the OFF state. When I move to an EPS, how will this gap be interpreted? Do I need to change how I've written the controls? 2. The source in my model is a WTP. I have simulated the WTP as a reservoir - pump - FCV - tank. I'm having trouble with significant negative pressure between the pump and FCV when the pump is in an OFF state. I'm also getting an unbalanced model during this condition. Reading other posts, it appears that if the source is cut off for a steady state model you're going to get an unbalanced model, which makes sense, but when I move to an EPS, I'm also seeing the unbalanced error periodically when the pump is OFF even though there is plenty of water to meet demand in the many tanks in the system. Is there a simplified way to simulate a WTP to avoid the errors I'm seeing? Perhaps removing the FCV and placing a demand on the tank? I will upload my model in the next few minutes to the secure site. Thanks for the assistance! Scott
