Wiki Page: How do I solve the ICPM convergence problems in Pondpack?

Product(s): PondPack Version(s): 08.11.xx.xx, 10.xx.xx.xx Area: Modeling Problem When I run my model that uses ICPM, I encounter warning messages about not being able to converge. How can I fix these? Solution First, try computing the individual outlet structures to see if you can pinpoint a problem with a particular outlet structure. This can be done by opening the Composite Outlet Structure manager. If there is more than one outlet structure associated with the composite outlet structure, highlight one of these and click the Compute button. If there is an issue, check the setup of the outlet structure to make sure the data in entered correctly. Keep in mind that the elevation information is often invert elevations. If you have an irregular weir, the elevation in the weir table is relative to the weir elevation. You can also try adjusting the tolerances at the bottom of the dialog, but this is rarely an issue. If the individual outlet structures compute without issue, try adjusting the ICPM tolerance in the calculation options. Increasing the tolerance will make it easier for the model to converge. You may also want to try increasing the value for maximum iterations. See Also How does the Interconnected Pond Modeling (ICPM) algorithm work in PondPack?
