Ased, As Scott suggested the design priorities may help with that. You can also have a look at this wiki technote that I found by searching using the keyword"design priorities" in the search bar at the top of this page. communities.bentley.com/.../18162.what-is-the-order-of-the-design-priorities-used-in-stormcad-gvf-rational-solver-and-sewercad-gvf-convex-solver There is also some other topics that come up that you might find useful such as this: communities.bentley.com/.../19324.does-the-design-feature-of-sewercad-or-stormcad-design-my-model-from-upstream-to-downstream-or-vice-versa Regards, Mark

Forum Post: RE: New diameters in sewercad
Ased, That is blocked domain for us, so we can't access your model files from it. If you want to share your files there are two options for sharing on Communities. If you would like the files to be visible to other members, compress the files into a zip file and upload them as an attachment using the ‘Advanced Reply editor’ before posting. If your data is confidential, you can follow the instructions in the link below to send it to us via Bentley Sharefile. Files uploaded to Sharefile can only be viewed by Bentley. communities.bentley.com/.../7079.be-communities-secure-file-upload Regards, Mark

Forum Post: RE: Very Old WaterCAD file needing restored
Hi David, We can convert a few for you, but if you have more than 3-4 it's probably best if you can get a version of WaterCAD 7, so you can do the conversion yourself. If you could tell me the name of the company that you work for I can check on your license agreement with us and let you know whether you can download a copy of WaterCAD 7. Regards, Mark

Forum Post: RE: Trench Soakaway
Thank you Mark - just few clarification needed in your answer: 1- getting the information by modeling up to the manhole point ending it at a free outfall is to be done in StromCAD or in SwererCAD (we suppose to use Rational method for model piping and gullies). 2- you mentioned : "catchment needs to be setup to use the EPA SWMM runoff method"; can I stay with Rational Method or it must EPA SWMM? and for that configuration The parent catchment is the Soakaway area (because the trench is under parking and there is no surface flow into it; the flow from the direct connection) 3- you also mentioned: "should not receive any flow if your infiltration trench is set up correct" would you please let moe know how? the trench in the program talks about gravel layers while I have Poly Storm Cells of soakawaies. 4- providing sample model example will elaborate more and support us. you are so apprecaied. MO.

Forum Post: Catchment Watershed Delineation
Does Bentley has a program for Catchment Watershed Delineation? if not; what is the best one? What is the difference between Bentley InRoads and Bentley GeoPack? and what is the preferred to be used with SewerGEMS and what is the benefits of that? Regards, MO.

To model a horizontal (also referred to as "bottom" or "parallel") orifice, simply enter the elevation of the opening in the Centroid Elevation field.

Forum Post: Bentley model to construct a dynamic model of WWTP
Date: March 09, 2015 Hi All, Hope all of you are in good health and spirit. I came across a case study of WWTP dynamic modelling in Fort Worth using infoworks CS. Another project referenced, Visual Hydraulics as the hydraulic modelling software.. My question is, is there any such case study using Bentley's softwares such as SewerGems or CivilStorm? If yes, I'll appreciate it if you can elaborate the approach and findings. Thanks in advance. Regards, Imtiaz

Thanks Scott. I have been tring to upload the files through Bentley Sharefile but some error is cropping up saying that - "Your connection is not private Attackers might be trying to steal your information from storage-ec2-33.sharefile.com (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). Back to safety Advanced NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID" So I am oploading the files here only using Advanced reply editor. Forum Post: RE: Catchment Watershed Delineation
Hello MO, Please see the below support solution on Watershed Delineation. communities.bentley.com/.../9590.can-stormcad-civilstorm-sewergems-sewercad-or-pondpack-perform-a-watershed-delineation Please read about Bentley Geopak & Bentley InRoads using below mentioned links. www.bentley.com/.../index.htm www.bentley.com/.../geopak+civil+engineering+suite Could you please explain bit more about what you mean by which one to be used with SewerGEMS? What are you trying to achieve by incorporating Geopak, InRoads, SewerGEMS?

Forum Post: RE: Catchment Polygon Size
You can color code the catchments according to the areas using Element Symbology Manager. They all must have different sizes if the areas are different. Please see this support solution about using Element Symbology Manager. http://communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/w/hydraulics_and_hydrology__wiki/10112.how-do-you-add-color-coding-to-an-element If this doesn’t help then please explain bit more with the help of screenshots.

Forum Post: RE: Bentley model to construct a dynamic model of WWTP
You can find sample model of WWTP in the installation folder of the software. C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\SewerGEMS8\Samples. Also there is User's Guide in the installation folder itself. By case study do you mean that you are looking for a document which explains modeling of WWTP using Bentley software?

Forum Post: RE: Bentley model to construct a dynamic model of WWTP
Thanks for the information. By case study, I meant a real world example where the model was applied, what kind of elements, assumptions were used to represent different process units, calibration approaches, backwater effect considerations, findings etc. Thanks again! Regards, Imtiaz

Forum Post: fire flow analysis at max hour
Hello, i'm doing the design of potable water and fire fighting network as combined network for a new site, we are studying two scenarios (MAx daily + fire) and (Max hourly). because it is too big site (7,000,000 m2) the peak design is the Max hourly flow. i'm trying to study the fire flow analysis in the scenario of (Max daily + fire) and the hydraulic of the network (pressure and velocities) in the second scenario (Max hourly) we are proposing three main DMA's, according to my previous study in water losses management we should add the entrance of each DMA with a PRV to sustain the pressure at minimum value for better leakage management. but when i used the PRV's it affected the fire flow analysis do i follow the right methodology for such case? note: according to the client requirements, we are assuming fire flow at each junction of the network Regards
