Applies To Product(s): Bentley PondPack Version(s): 08.11.XX.XX Environment: N/A Area: Modeling Subarea: Original Author: Mark Pachlhofer, Bentley Technical Support Group Problem Description After running my model I get a user notification that says, "Elevation-flow-volume table data overtopped...routing results invalid" and/or one that says, "Volume/Outflow data exceeded during routing". This can occur for a pond or conduit. Background If the flow through a pond/conduit exceeds the elevation/flow rating curve, the pond/channel has overtopped. In either case the results aren't really valid since the program doesn't have any information on the relationship between elevation and flow above that point. Because of this a flat-topped (due to the overtopping) hydrograph will be passed to the next downstream element. Therefore, the results should indeed be reviewed, since surcharging conduits and ponds aren't handled. Steps to Resolve Review the size and other input data for the element referenced in the user notification label or ID column Review the input data upstream of it if the size of the referenced element is correct.
