I am looking for software recommendations for modeling the filling and emptying of navigation locks. Here are some requirements: There is a network (manifold) of pressurized pipes feeding lockage chambers. A large culvert runs alongside the chambers, with much smaller laterals connecting the filling culvert with the open-surface chambers. Flow is not even through the manifold - momentum matters. Lift gates control flow through the culvert. I have loss coefficient vs. opening% already. ***** Software must be able to adjust opening % based on velocity in pipe and/or water level in lockage chamber ***** Minimum calculation timestep should be 1 minute or less. Lockage chambers are very large, so they can probably be modeled as big open channels or as tanks. Any recommendations? My employer has licenses for all the Bentley products, but I don't know which one might serve my needs, if any.
